What's wrong with your dsdt?

Please clearly show us the problem you may have.

Hmm, it doesn't make sense to blindly blame DSDT for all these symptoms you mentioned.
Good news to you is that you can open many tickets on bugzilla.kernel.org .
I prefer tracking them there. Before doing that, you need to prepare enough information.

Thanks,
Luming

As I assume the X30 is similar to the X05 I own:

- this can be fixed by patching the DSDT. Info for the (also similar X10) is
available on the web.

- S3 doesn't yet work properly; as it works on FreeBSD it should be possible
in theory, and hopefully will do in 2.7.

- that's a problem of wake vs. runtime GPEs and should be fixed soon.

What special functions are you referring to?

Ok I fixed my DSDT Table and wow the OSD and all the Special function button
are working (If anyone is inerested in the DSDT File.. mail me). ACPI is
working nearly perfect now.. Battery Status is also show.
Still there are some problems:

The Rest Button and the Lid are generating ACPI events.. but it shows no
effect ;o( (I've configured them with powersaved).

The Powerbutton doesn NOT generate an ACPI event (and of course pressing it
show now effect then ;o(( )

And the CPU fan always spins on max and cant be triggered
by /proc/acpi/fan/FAN0/state !! /proc/acpi/fan/FAN0/state shows on or off but
it seems to have no effect on the fan itself ;o(. Under Windows its nearly
all times off!

I've also tested Suspend-to-Ram and IT WORKED (echo 3 > /proc/acpi/sleep) but
without the Power Button working there is no way to switch this stupid thing
on again!!!! So I had to disconnect the battery ;o(.

If anyone has an Idea or an solution for one of this Problems I would be
thankfull. Thx

Well the Problems with the Rest Button and the Lid are solved.. they drive my
laptop in Stanby (S3) now ;o).

Still the two Problems (FAN & Power Button) remains (the one with the
Powerbutton is much more essential! The Fan can spin as long as he like.. but
without the Powerbutton there is no possibility to get the Laptop out of
Standby (without disconnecting the Battery of course ;o( ). Thx
