Subject: ISDN + Analog Modem
Date: Sat, 16 Nov 2002 13:49:25 -0500 (EST)	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <Pine.LNX.4.43.0211161345310.14648-100000@bish.net> (raw)

Here's one that has blown me away.
Setup: One analog modem and one ISDN modem installed.

I try and dial in with an analog modem but it can't connect because of "No
CARRIER" no big deal - I just want to keep dialing (with diald) until the
line becomes availiable. Here's where it gets weird - once diald/chat
tries and dials out a second time it uses the ISDN modem and not the
analog modem. This is nuts.

They don't have the same IRQ. They don't have the same I/O base address.

Any idea why diald/chat tries the analog modem first and then carries over
to the ISDN one?
