Turn the laptop over and search for three holes marked with a 'K' and
remove these three screws.

Subject: Procedure to gain physical access Toshiba 1605cds Harddisk ?
Below the display, there is panel where all the little LED's are located
indicating power on, Hard drive, etc.
You must use a fine small screwdrive and detatch or remove this small
panel which will reveal the hinges for the display.
Once this is removed, you will see 4 screws holding the keyboard in
place. Remove those screws and slide the keyboard toward the
display and it will come up. The hard drive is just below it. Two
screws hold the hard drive bracket in place. Remove those screws
and the hard drive will lift up and un plug. I had the same problem
trying to find mine and lucked up on it before I destroyed my case.
