Hi!

I'd like to register my candidacy in the upcoming TAB election.

Here is a (hopefully semi-coherent) statement, blurb or whatnot:

I help DaveM maintain the networking trees. My goal is to strengthen
the community and support meaningful engagements with companies.
I hope that the opportunity to join the TAB will allow me to further
these goals, especially the second one. We had been very successful
(thanks to herculean efforts of some community members) convincing
companies/vendors to engage with us, unfortunately as the volume of
code produced by those vendors grows we need to make sure that the
relationship is still mutually beneficial and does not become too
burdensome for actual community members (i.e. humans).

At the same time I believe that we should try to bridge the gap
between our code-first development model and more traditionally
managed companies. I hope that LF can help us bring some of the
industry standardization efforts from external forums closer to
 the community.
