Subject: Linux Foundation TAB self-nomination
Date: Thu, 19 Sep 2024 12:20:49 +0200 (CEST)	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <nycvar.YFH.7.76.2409191220020.31206@cbobk.fhfr.pm> (raw)

As a long-time kernel developer and maintainer (HID, livepatching, ...
even floppy driver at some point :) ), I would like to offer my experience
and skills to contribute to Linux Foundation direction steering when it
comes to representing the interests of the Linux Kernel community.

As an engineering director and distinguished engineer at SUSE (I am
leading a department which is responsible for all of SUSE's kernel
development) I believe I can contribute not only on a technical, but also
on a personal level, especially based on long-time experience working with
both technical and non-technical people and companies -- coordinating,
facilitating and resolving conflicts should they arise.

Linux has been playing a crucial role both in my personal and professional
life sice ~1996, I 've always been having a lot of fun contributing to it,
and I feel that as a member of Linux Foundation TAB I'd have an
opportunity to extend the contribution to the project I love even further.
