OS is mac osx 10.5.8. I cannot support non-Free OSes, but you should check that error message again and see if GCC4 is used or install the atomic_ops library. I have heard of newer OSX use a LLVM-based compiler that's not 100% compatible with Ruby 1.9 itself, either. Maybe somebody else on this list has more knowledge of non-Free OSes. -- Eric Wong
