Me neither.  I just found it because in the PDF it was next to standards(7), 
IIRC. :)

I sometimes use .txt for some notes or ASCII art, just to remind myself when I 
see the file months or years after that it's just text, as opposed to for 
example a script, for which I don't use extensions.  Directory organization 
would be more useful, but we all know that when you write something fast such as 
text notes, you don't always follow the best organization...

But now that I know it, it's an interesting thing to know.  Web search engines 
sometimes (more often than not) disappoint me; especially those that don't track 
me.  Having the page around can be useful.  I'll try to update with whatever new 
extension I meet and is not documented.
