I doubt anybody would attempt to run ancient, unsupported versions
of Rails on the latest (unreleased, even) versions of Ruby...
|
|
They were transitionary releases and the logic to deal with them
and Rack versioning was too much overhead.
|
|
for i in `git ls-files '*.rb'`; do ruby -w -c $i; done
|
|
They are not compatible, and the Rails 3 tests will
be completely separate.

|
This allows us to gets rid of the Rack 1.0.1 dependency when
running Rails tests since previous versions of Rails 2.3.x
needed Rack 1.0.1, where as Rails 2.2.x and below could be used
with any version of Rack (under Unicorn only).
|
|
Avoid Tempfile.new(nil), which breaks under Ruby 1.9.2
and was probably a bad idea to begin with.
|
|
The temporary paths we create to mimic script/server-emulation
did not work when working_directory was used. Now we defer
path creation until after working_directory is bound.
|
|
Rails 2.3.3.1 is ancient

Since Unicorn config files are written in Ruby, setting
RAILS_RELATIVE_URL_ROOT should be possible (and even encouraged)
in the config file if it is done at all.
|
|
This ensures any string literals that pop up in *our* code will
just be a bag of bytes. This shouldn't affect/fix/break
existing apps in most cases, but most constants will always have
the "correct" encoding (none!) to be consistent with HTTP/socket
expectations. Since this comment affects things only on a
per-source basis, it won't affect existing apps with the
exception of strings we pass to the Rack application.
This will eventually allow us to get rid of that Unicorn::Z
constant, too.

Now that I've beefed out my Makefile to detect errors,
I've noticed this test has been failing under 1.9 for
a while now. Currently no released version of Rack(1.0)
or Rails(2.3.2.1) supports this.

This was broken in 66841a0164bc03eddb7a6ac31e3923302dbc5146:
ensure responses always have the "Status:" header
|
|
Not sure if unicorn_rails should create them since the builtin
Rails server only creates things under tmp/*.
|
|
Recent changes made to the unicorn_rails loader were needed to
get ActiveRecordStore to load correctly.
|
|
Loading Rails takes a very long time, so consolidate most of the
tests into one big test that allows us to avoid loading Rails.
It makes the test less like unit tests, but they could still
be split up into private functions if one wants to run them
individually.

Additional tests for Rails have been added
* cookies and sessions
* POST requests
* POST requests with multipart uploads
* 404 handling
* static file serving
* cached static file serving
(resources with ";" caching in some old 1.2.x version
not yet tested)

Very preliminary for now. Basically just sets up a basic
controller and response. Requires git to clone the official
Rails repository.
